He started his career at Sanlam in 1995 and qualified as an actuary in 2000. He then moved to join Metropolitan in 2009. Eugene has spent most of his actuarial career in a product development or product management role, loving the variability and unpredictability of the job and enjoying the engagement with many different parts of the business. Since 2016 he has been Head of Product Management in MMerge, a product house in Momentum Group that provides a specialised service to the Momentum Life, Metropolitan Life and Africa Retail businesses, in handling the system, operational, product and financial control management of their historical/legacy books of business.
